We are delighted to announce that STEM Career Path Project for Girls has received the Cabinet Office’s Women’s Challenge Support Award.
This recognition honors more than two decades of our work supporting junior and senior high school girls as they pursue careers in science and technology.
We are deeply grateful for this recognition and remain committed to our mission.
Despite the growing importance of women’s participation in STEM fields, Japan continues to have the lowest female enrollment rates in science and engineering among OECD member countries.
Our organization addresses this challenge by communicating the excitement of science and technology to young women and providing them with meaningful interactions with researchers, engineers, and entrepreneurs. Through these experiences, we help girls develop confidence in their abilities and envision the career paths that are right for them.
This award is a testament to the tremendous support of our partner academic societies,companies, the student teaching assistants who were involved,our dedicated volunteers, and above all, the remarkable girls who participate in our programs and their families.
Moving forward, we are committed to continuing this work alongside all of you.
We will keep expanding access to high-quality STEM education and career support for junior and senior high school girls across Japan.
